Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–3 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Marco and Polo Restaurant at (203) 514-1841; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is marcoandpolo.online, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 268 reviews, which is a strong result for a chinese noodle in Bloomington and suggests consistent service.

Bloomington is in Indiana, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Bloomington follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

AMAZING!!! If you are near Bloomington (even if you aren’t), visit Marco and Polo. The food is divine. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is freshly made and healthy. I don’t care for lamb at most places, and I loved the lamb kabobs. The falafel is air fried, so they are a healthy choice without substituting the taste. The fruit tea was soooo good. Again, it was freshly brewed. The Turkish coffee was great ( just note that it isn’t for everyone). It went perfectly with the homemade dessert- Kunafa. Please make sure to order dessert early. It is made fresh to order. So, it takes time. I would suggest ordering it when you put in the meal order. Trust me, you don’t want to skip out on dessert. The staff were some of the kindest people that I’ve met. They make you feel welcome the second that you walk in the door. The feeling lasts throughout the meal. If I could give 10 stars, I would. This hidden gem is worth the time and money.

After arriving in Bloomington from the UK, my first stop for lunch was Marco & Polo. The restaurant is spacious, featuring comfortable seating and beautiful Uyghur arts and crafts that create a relaxing atmosphere. The service was wonderful and the food felt truly authentic. I particularly loved the Polo, a traditional rice dish served with a large, delicious lamb shank. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal; it’s an ideal spot to meet friends for dinner. If you want to taste authentic Uyghur or Central Asian cuisine, I highly recommend this amazing restaurant!

I highly recommend this special, unique, cozy restaurant with warm service that makes you feel at home 🀍 The juicy, tender chicken kebabs and the beef rib plate are just amazing β€” I could honestly cry and shout out loud that this is the best place in town!! The vegetarian Lagman is so flavorful, and the kunafa is absolutely the best 😍πŸ”₯

Flavorful and tender. That sums up the meat and food here. Period. I’m always chasing flavor in this town and can’t quite ever catch it. Marco and Polo have the flavor! The restaurant was also very clean and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be going back.
